President and Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Bob Minor is widely recognized by professional educators for his ten-year leadership at Sylvan Learning Systems, where he was Senior Vice-President for Education. He is credited for developing Sylvan Learning programs and designing, creating, and implementing the first in-school model.
He is also credited with the creation and implementation of the international accrediting initiative that has come to be known as CITA, The Commission on International and Trans-regional Accreditation. CITA, under the auspices of the 6 major accrediting commissions of schools and colleges in the United States, and internationally, accredits Sylvan Learning Centers and thousands of independent and for-profit learning organizations.
Dr. Minor has a history of success as a Graduate School Scholar, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education, Administration, and Supervision, in addition to a Doctoral Degree focusing on Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Teacher Preparation. He is the creator of the EDU-PLAN™ solution for aligning and connecting the numerous variables that comprise a successful learning program.
Bob has taught at the elementary school, middle school, and the graduate school levels, and has served as an elementary school principal, in open-space, and traditional school buildings. Dr. Minor also served as a high school administrator and as a Superintendent of Schools in two districts. He is recognized for his creativity, published information, and lectures at numerous professional conferences including IRA, NASSP, NAESP, and AASA, where he also served on the audit committee.
